PLUMBCO'S
Tips & Ideas
1. Never place objects such as Q-tips, dental floss
or paper products not designed for toilets into the
water closets in your home.
2. Use plenty of water when
running your garbage disposal. The more you use, the
less likely you will clog the drain. Place items in
the disposal slowly, rather than all at once.
3. Calling
a plumber to fix a leaky faucet can save you costly
replacement(s) of the faucets after having to "close
it tightly" one too many times. These techniques actually
break the inner mechanisms of your faucets.
4. Turn the temperature down on the water heater in
your home especially if you have elders or small children.
Loved ones can be scolded and old pipes that are too
hot may actually burst under the additional stress of
near boiling temperatures. Bottom line, keep your water
a little too hot to touch, but not too hot to touch!
5. Why not hire a plumber to modify your existing shower
to create that "spa" feeling every morning to reduce
stress in your daily events to follow. It's a cheap
alternative to that Beverly Hills Spa.
6. Benefit your environment by having those annoying
leaks repaired and having a toilet flush right the first
time. Rising energy costs may not be the only thing
you'll be combating.
